The Gibraltar operation of this international private bank and asset manager is looking to recruit a Relationship Manager to boost the ranks of its private banking team.
Despite the downturn this wealth management company is focused upon securing business from the high and ultra high net worth individuals in the Iberian Peninsula.
It recognises there is less business available than before and that securing this business will involve being able to demonstrate high levels of credibility and professionalism across all banking disciplines. Therefore as part of a growth plan they are currently seeking to recruit an experienced and outstanding Relationship Manager
You should note they see this individual as a being capable of being a true leader in the jurisdictions private banking industry. I.e. someone to be admired, respected and perhaps feared if you are involved in the managing relationships at other banks with High Net Worth individuals in the same markets.
The main responsibilities of the Relationship Manager are centred upon the development of a private wealth management book of clients across the key geographies (Gibraltar, Spain, Portugal and North Africa).
Should your application to this vacancy be successful you will be targeting both new high net worth individuals and intermediaries. Success in this role will be dependant upon your skill in building profitable networks amongst these wealthy and influential clients.
You must be able to clearly articulate the banks investment strategy, range of private banking services and negotiate to the very highest levels. You should also be familiar with the cultures of your target audience and have considerable linguistic skills.
- For serious consideration for the Relationship Manager vacancy you should already be working in a client facing private banking / wealth management role.
- You will have a strong background in private banking and have the ability to generate new client business, either directly or via professional introducers, together with an entrepreneurial ethos and the ability to manage your own P&L.
- It is expected you will have your own book of clients and / or an existing network to transfer with you.
- It would be beneficial if you spoke Spanish and / or Portuguese or Arabic and had knowledge of business practices across the within your geography.
You should expect frequent travel.
