The creation of the post of Finance Department Manager has come about to meet the increasing management accounting requirements of this Gibraltar firm. In essence the Finance Department Manager is predominately focused on ensuring that the Finance Department are able to submit accurate, timely accounts and results for monthly consolidation to head quarters in New York. The Finance Department Manager will be the senior member of a Gibraltar based team of four. In this exciting career you will be responsible for preparation of Management Reports across several business lines; ensuring statutory reporting deadlines are met.
You will be expected to create procedures and controls to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the Finance function and also assist in the development and progression of staff.
You will be able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, you will be required to introduce procedures for analysis and reporting on new products. For example your first project will be the set up of a Credit Control function for the new business line.
- Overseeing the book-keeping function for all entities, ensuring their readiness for month and quarter-end close
- Preparing month end file for Management's review
- Preparation of Management Accounts
- Preparation of reports to Regulators and Third Parties
- Supervise a team
- Ensure all local legislations are adhered to
- Manage the relationship with external auditors
For serious consideration for the Finance Department Manager vacancy you will have to be an ACA / ACCA Qualified accountant with at least several years post qualification experience.
It is expected you will have gained some (if not all) that experience in the Financial Services industry.
You will be comfortable operating in a multi-currency / international environment.
It would be beneficial if you could combine this experience with knowledge of US GAAP and Oracle Financials.
